| I'd like to hold a poll to see what people think is the clan that best represents this community. Rather than being a favorites poll, I'd rather try to have a popularity poll. So instead of listing what clan is your favorite (either due to units, art, or whatever), just choose what clan you play the most or want to play the most. For example, I love the art of Spikes and Irregulars, but I play Novas the most so I would choose Novas. This is very important, so I want to repeat it:
If I love the everloving shit out of Dark Irregulars Reijy but it's so inconsistent that I always use Kagero Goku for tournaments and normal games, then Dark Irregulars is not what I vote in this poll. Kagero is what I vote in this poll, regardless of my personal feelings toward them. In this way, the poll should never be able to be influenced. It's an objective measurement.
Let's see what the most popular clan on the site is!

| Pale Moon and Nova Graps.
Just saying though, Nova Grapplers would definitely be the site Rep. More Specificly, Stern Would be The Rep himself.

It honestly doesn't matter. The poll was doomed from the start. If you really want to ask your forum for an honest opinion on something, you never, EVER say what you yourself voted for at the very start. Especially a community like this that is so well known for its abundance of yes-men.

Look at all those Angels votes and Pale Moon votes. No, if anything doomed this poll it was that I know most people won't bother actually fucking reading the requirements to vote and voting accordingly. They'll still just pick their aesthetic favorite even if they don't play it as often. And fuck you, this forum has a huge fanbase of Novas.

| I voted DP because I've been pushing it around my friends a lot since it came out and can't wait for Set 8, lol.
So far I agree with the face of VMundi being Novas though. Even with Stern's release I still see many English players putting it down since "GP won!"

| people voted what they wanted to vote. Claiming a poll was doomed just cause people don't agree with yoy, or happen to like somthing you don't, does not mean it was doomed.Frankly, that makes you sound like a politician. I think the image for the site is really whatever people want it to be.its a free forum, and people shouldtake away from it what they want, and look at it how they want. At least tthat's my point of view | |

| Been with AFs since last May and still going. The more relaxed aesthetic makes it a more manageable clan to look at during the busier times of the year. | |

| I'm actually kind of surprised someone voted for the Genesis clan. It could just be they like the nature-bind aesthetic at this point (and that's kind of a guess on how the other units will look) but if not, I guess that person hasn't been playing the game for very long. | |

And fuck you, this forum has a huge fanbase of Novas. I know there's plenty of Nova fans here. I've been here more than long enough to see that. I'm saying the poll is biased by your influence. You made one choice shiny sparkly chocolate magic by letting people know that if they pick this option, they are agreeing with you. People come to this forum specifically because of you, so thinking that absolutely no one will follow something just because you said it is silly. Even if they were on the ropes or just don't really care either way, why not pick Novas? Alice said this place is Stern-like so it must be true. What exactly is the logic behind not trusting people enough to answer the poll properly based on your guidelines, yet trusting people enough to not vote for Novas simply to agree with you? - alexander.stone88 wrote:

That has nothing to do with why I said that. I have no interest in who wins in the end, since I assume the results will have no effect on my life either way. I'm simply pointing out that if you really want to be able to take the results of a poll seriously, you can't make one answer more appealing than the others.

What exactly is the logic behind not trusting people enough to answer the poll properly based on your guidelines, yet trusting people enough to not vote for Novas simply to agree with you? There's a reason she covers all clans and does the best she can to make them seem fun and playable. If she really wanted to influence Novas, this place would be called VNova-Mundi. And again, this is her opinion, and people have a mind of their own. Give them a little credit.

| So your trying to claim if she used another clan as an example the votes wouldnt look the same? note, she mentioned liking both iregs and spike, yet no votes there. Your claiming bias purely on a persons social status.why not ask the people who voted why they voted as they did.ill start:
I voted pale moon because I felt, as a johnny player (see mtgs psychographic profiles) it was the closest to what I liked doing.the juggling the soul aspect really appealed to me, as well as being very flavorful.

That was my point yeah. Either way I think I'm gonna flake on this fight. Hindsight is 20/20 and all, and it's pretty easy to see now how pointless this argument is. Even if I type till I'm blue in the.... fingers?.... in order to get my point across, it changes absolutely nothing. What's done is done. Too much effort to keep this up when the resolution is meaningless either way. I'm honestly not even sure why I cared enough to bring it up in the first place.

| Um, hate to say this, but the lemon posed a valid point. Face it, Alice now has celebrity or expert status, meaning if she endorses, or even SEEMS to be endorsing something, it will become more popular than it would be if the supposed endorsement had been aimed at something else or if no perceived endorsement had been made at all. At the very least, the data has now been tainted, and thus must be taken with a grain of salt.
Personally, I'd of locked the thread until the survey was complete, then unlock(That IS something you can do, right?) it for discussion of results. Of course, as the lemon said, it's a moot point NOW, but something to consider for future reference.
