Okay, so below is a decklist my friend recommended to me. He has had success with it in the Japanese meta, during the time DOTE decks were the dominate force at tournaments.

4 Asura Kaiser
4 Beast Deity, Azure Dragon

Grade 3 is pretty standard fare.

4 Death Army Lady
3 Brutal Jack
2 Magician Girl, Kirara
2 Super Electromagnetic Lifeform, Storm

Jack is there for his 11K base, and Kirara+Storm give the deck pressure. I don't think I need to explain why the Lady is there.

4 Death Army Guy
4 Screamin' & Dancin' Announcer, Shout
4 Twin Blader
2 Clay-doll Mechanic

Shout provides the deck with a consistency engine. Besides that, pretty standard fare.

4 Ring Girl, Clara
3 Shining Lady
3 Red Lightning
3 Three Minutes
3 The Gong
1 Beast Deity, White Tiger

Here is where things get interesting. As you can see, the deck runs 6 Draws and 6 Crits. The high count of draws helps you to draw out your attackers/boosters and keep up your handsize. Going Critical instead of Stand increases your Threat; while this reduces the Pressure you can apply, Kirara and Storm are suppose to make up for the loss of Pressure.

So that's the breakdown of the deck. Any and all opinions or questions are very much welcome.

Kind of depends whether we're talking about crossride meta or not. I'd say this had more success just because stands aren't making your Jacks and Kiraras very threatening against a 13k body, same applies to Death Army column. Storm feels kind of unnecessary.

Can't really comment much further as I don't have a lot of experience with NG and don't want to misrepresent it. Suffice to say this looks kind of vanilla when using crit+draw.

Your friend is either lying, has impact bias, or every CR opponent of this deck was pants-on-head retarded. I actually had to already explain to someone on the blog why this is a horrible matchup against CRs. (Hint: it's because standing a single card is useless, and DA columns are useless).

For this meta, that deck's basically useless since it has unnecessary crap in it like Jack. Just go look at my Azure/Asura for V*Mundi's format.

I'd also like to add that this deck is meant for the Team League we will be having, and my team already has someone using Dragonic Overlord, The End.

This deck doesn't work versus crossrides period. You're better switching to Stern.
