I think it's people treating the game like Yugioh. Often times if you don't use a card/skill when it comes up you just lose it later or it becomes less effective later.

Also people thinking "well these two VG attacks while he's at three damage can certainly win me the game!"

It's like his deck just told him not to LB.

He's so fucking LB-happy. I agree that if it had not come sooner, he woul've straight up lost the game. Too much minusing too quickly.

And Smith doesn't get off Scott-free either. Know how I know Smith will use Duke? He has 4 damage and 2 unflipped damage. Jesus fuck man.

He didnt use Pellinore during the Oceana qualifiers in Singapore. He was using SDD instead.

Maybe picking up the vibes wrong but is there alot of hate for the players from you lot on this site? Seems like its claimed none of them are any good at the game by the way you speak.

No, it's not hate. It's criticism. When people misplay, we point it out to better share our understanding of the game. Anyone who wants to get better wants criticism. When someone makes seriously egregious misplays, and regularly, and at high level events, that's just indicative of a game whose player base has a low skill curve. Most likely because the game is new, but also because lots of the players are stubborn and ignore evidence.

Hate would solve nothing and only further some arbitrary and useless ego boosting. Academics are centered around the ability to be called out by your peers.

Also if you look into the claims we make, you'll find that they're not baseless.

Unfortunately the negativity is deserved. Think of Vanguard like a sport. Is it unusual for sports fans to discuss different players and strategies both negatively and positively? When you're in the big time and you make bad plays, regardless of the game, people will notice and comment on them. I'd want people to destroy me if I did these kinds of things at these events.
