| I was present for the asian oceania finals. Truth be told, I'm very disappointed with the Narukami player.
OTT was the usual Moon build. Straight forward. But the Narukami was there as if he was playing to lose. A few cards/plays which I noticed
G3 Djinn DKV (saw at least 2 copies of it) BreakThrough ThunderBreak DreadCharge For one of the matches, he rode Djinn and called DKV on the RG.
G2 S- Intercept 10K Vanilla DeathScythe
G1 Djinn 8k Vanilla Unicorn Clone (6k base +2k on call) Guld 10K booster
Triggers All 4 were seen (Stand/Draw/Heal/Crit) but doesnt seem to be standard triggers.
FVG G3 searcher
Tons of misplays. He seems to be playing to lose. There was absolutely NO consistency with the deck. Some of the matches were not monitored closely. The guy kept repeatingly use DKV skill upon attack declaration instead of during main phase. He didnt get caught the first time, but the judge spotted him when he attempted again and he was told that he cant use it. To make it worse, he was the Singapore representative. We have a freaking strong player base. Makes me wonder how the hell did this guy actually got through the WGP qualifiers in the first place...
The matches between the top two were really entertaining. Both players misgraded several times or didnt get to smoothly ride but somehow manage to get through. I'm sure they werent serious but could tell that they possess some degree of skill.

| You want to know how an awful deck and an awful player gets through ~200 people in a national qualifier? Two words:
Double Elimination | |

Double Elimination Is there any reason as to why, other than to try and cheap out on man-power/hours? It's a lot easier to manage 200+ people when the pool gets smaller after every round...

| Not sure what you mean. If you're asking why use double elimination, I honestly think it's because they don't know any better. I doubt anyone at Bushiroad sat down with a table matrix to do math on optimal tournament format solutions. | |

| Woodard Y U NO understand the necessities of research?
I am rather interested in how he'll progress from here. I know that his Spectral Duke deck was running 1 or 2 cards that aren't needed such as Beaumains. Will he overhaul it or tweak his existing deck?
I am waiting on the news of him winning with Tachikaze. Will someone please win with Tachikaze?

| Well his nats finals game was basically all sack so I'm not sure if he'll be motivated to fix it up. If he doesn't let impact bias affect him, maybe he will. | |

| Pretty much just here to post that single rounds is the worst idea of all time.
Getting stuck at Grade 0 in the first round was $200 well spent!

| So, I want to make a deck that pretty much no-one is using and go and wreck everyone shit with it at some tourneys... what clan should I use then? Maybe I can do my part to help break up the GP buttrimming that seems to be a epidemic right now. | |
