Oovoo - Free Video Calling up to 12 People

Not news but since all the other Vanguard things are here, I may as well post this ~

What do you all think? Might be useful for like live games or something.

I used oovoo quite a few years ago. The call quality was decent and features like the multi-call used to be "premium." If it's free now I could definitely see it being useful.

Oh god someone brought up Oovoo.
In my opinion, it's absolute dog shit. Tried it with my cousins, and the cameras kept cutting off. You had to wait for like a minute for the camera to go back online (it's an Oovoo issue, not our webcams. Works perfectly fine on Skype). The sound kept cutting off now and then, as well.

I've had similar experiences. I feel like.Skype would work better.

If the feature you were most interested in was the multi-person call, Google chat - Google Hangout would also be an option.

I'm weary of using Google products since they all include a provision in the EULA that allows them to spy on you. Well, it's probably better than Skype who allows direct access for any government department to watch your feeds :|
