| information in regards to the Stand Up Challenge Cup. 1st. Stage: Shop Qualifier Tournaments March 8-31 2nd Stage: Regional Qualifier Tournaments April 12-28 3rd Stage: Finals June 2nd It appears as if players need to win a special local tournament (1st stage) to qualify and participate in the Regional Qualifier Tournament (2nd Stage). The winners of each regional tournament will then receive an invitation and paid airfare and hotel accommodations to compete at the Stand Up Challenge Cup finals (3rd stage). https://2img.net/r/ihimg/photo/my-images/844/imag0009ib.jpg/ | |

| I found out about this last night at locals (locals being a 2 hour drive) What I want to know is if this is separate from the regionals back in October or if this is going to be the main thing. | |

| Apparently there is also a 16 Player maximum and every shop event is being held in March. | |

Didn't see this anywhere. Where did you get this info? Gonna be a nightmare if true.

| God damnit. Nice of them to tell the shops. Guess we have to start doing pre-reg for it.
. Or not, since it says no pre-reg. Ugh, this will be a clusterfuck.

| Not sure if it's a good idea.
Someone on your team gets Grade locked and you go 1-2 for 2 games, you paid the transport and entry fees for jack.
I'd rather lose knowing it's my fault, thank you.

The shops have "No of Players: 16" beside their info. What the fuck is this bullshit? 16 isn't evenly divisible by 3, you gigantic wads of filth. From my understanding, a team is 3 people. That's FIFTEEN max capacity. Which by the way is only 5 total teams allowed. That sixteen shit better be the number of teams, I swear. Otherwise way to screw over people who have to travel, and way to screw over shops just for being successful. - Werekill wrote:

THIS kind of shit is unacceptable. The fact that they haven't switched to RR or Swiss since last time has no excuse. People were up in arms about this since last year's announcement, and bitched all through the season and the biggest bitching was right after it was over. If Bushiroad didn't get the message by now that BO:1 elimination isn't tenable then they just don't give a fuck. Wow thanks for easing my mind guys. I thought I was going to be missing something. But between crossrides, entry limit, and BO1 Elimination, and good luck finding a fucking team, I don't think I'll sweat it anymore.

| It was fucking bullshit. I and another guy had the only good decks in the whole fucking event (he had Duke, which was very similar to your build if not exactly like it), but in the end it came down to pure luck. And don't get me started on the blatant misplays I saw constantly. | |

Apparently the 16 thing beside the shop was a default thing and plenty of shops had things like 24 or 45 Players (according to the Pojo thread anyway). Also, BS qualified. I can't wait to see this go to his head even further (he was using MLB).

| Okay good, it's not the team thing.
Still extremely horse shit to expect players to just eat it if they want to go. Any official tournament should be expected to have 40 players minimum, even if it's localized. Think about Oklahoma: Tulsa has literally one shop even qualified to have this tournament. (And it's not even listed on the sheet). This unfairly gives states and local areas with more card shops a far greater advantage. Gee, I can't wait to see all the people from California and Georgia.

| The good news is that only one guy who qualified here is any good. That's one decent guy and one shitty guy from Georgia so far. | |

| The local qualifiers in my area was placed at the very end of March (possibly so EB01 is available for those who want to use it), but from what I've been reading it doesn't sound like a good time. Or did you folks have fun overall at the events, and what I'm reading is the absolute nadir of your experiences?
Regarding the 16 player cap, I'm still confused, since the event page says the first 24 participants per shop will get the Kai deck box. Was there a rule change, or was the 16 player thing non-existent from the start?

| The 16 Player is a default setting or something. Some Tournaments have had 55 participants. | |
