Ok, I'm looking for some advice on adjusting my Bermuda Triangle deck for the upcoming teams event. Unfortunately this means I'm likely to run into Dragonic Overlord, The End and MLB decks, as a lot of people at my locals run them, so I'm trying to build this deck in a way to give myself the best chance I'm likely to get against them. My current build is as follows:
G0 (17):
1x Bermuda Triangle Cadet, Weddel
4x Drive Quartet, Bubblin (Draw trigger)
4x Comical Rainie (Crit trigger)
4x Drive Quartet, Shuplu (Crit trigger)
4x Drive Quartet, Flows (Heal trigger)
G1 (14):
4x Mermaid Idol, Elly
3x Pearl Sister, Perle
4x Mermaid Idol, Sedna
3x Turquoise Blue, Tyrrhenia
G2 (11)
4x Pearl Sister, Perla
3x Top Idol, Aqua
2x Mermaid Idol, Flute
2x Girls Rock, Rio
G3 (8):
4x Top Idol, Pacifica
4x Rainbow Light, Carine
I've looked around at a few different builds for this, including Alice's Pacific Beat decklist. Given the need for decks to be able to consistently hit 18k in the current meta (17k for MLB), I've tried to maximise ways of doing that while trying to keep a decent advantage engine within the deck. Pacifica can still hit 18k with a 5k booster, so running Tyrrhenia is still fine, although unless you can get her early game her usefulness seems limited, as vanguards start getting guarded from 4 damage onwards. However I do see a problem with rearguards. Without some from of Lancet Shooter clone, the deck is very heavily reliant on Sedna to get to 18k. I've added in Flute to give more synergy with the 7k Perle, but I've had to sacrifice Rio's to do it, which hurts the draw engine a little. I've debated adjusting the G3 line-up a little as well, namely dropping two Carine's for either Flores or Ceram. Flores gives more bouncing options, seems a better backup ride than Carine, and can fire from hitting rearguards, but having only 4 bounce targets in the deck (2 Rio and 2 Carine) hurts her usefulness. Ceram eases pressure on the boosters, and can be used to snipe the likes of Bedivere and Burning Horn Dragon, but she competes for counterblasts with Rio and Carine, and once again she hurts the advantage engine by having to drop Carines.
I understand the best way to find out how it works would be to test it, but unfortunately I live a long way from my locals, can only really afford to go down about once a fortnight, and no-one else near me plays that I know of. So I'm going for the next best thing and asking here for advice :)
