How the hell did I miss this page?

Well anyway, your Grade 3 lineup looks really similar to my planned build. Except I'll be going 2 Bass, 2 Cocytus, 3 Deadly Swordmaster. I don't mind using Coc as a wash if I have to ride him mid-late over another Grade 3. Thinking of trying Bass at 3 and Deadly at 2 though since I have that dragon to get rid of any excess Bass.

As odd as this is... Granblue is the ONE deck I've found... that I don't feel the need to use the normal staple 10k grade 2

Aiming for 16000 -
Deadly Spirit - Deadly Nightmare or Samurai Spirit. You are wanting to use your perfect guard as a booster, and even with the 10k Dancing Cutlass won't hit 16000 (Even though you should be retiring him right out for one of the above.)
Ruin Shade can even manage it with Dancing Cutlass should you use her effect.

The only instance you need a 10k is if you're using the King Seahorse.

With the abundance of quality 9000 grade 2s and 7000 grade 1s in this deck

I'm trying to find a downside to not using him...
