Budget Vanguard

In the spirit of my new article, I'd like to start up a discussion with your budget vanguard ideas. Post deck lists and discuss what units could make prime budget targets.

One of my favorite types of budget deck is the MANGUARD ultra rushes. Other than Spikes, I've had an idea where you use Nova Grapplers, with maybe 2 Cat Butlers, and a total of 4 Genocide Jacks. The main idea being to do the rush, but also have a vanguard that hits nonsensical numbers always. And cat butler can stand him if he ever fails to hit when you've drawn it. It tested pretty well, especially if you include 16 criticals that Novas get after EB04.

I like the idea of another rush deck so I decided to make a decklist for it:

3 Cat Butler (when EB01 comes out)

4 Battering Minotaur

Just like how Spike brothers uses the soul to gain power and get more soul, Nova Grapplers utilizes counterblast and unflip them for more uses. I haven't tested out yet so idk if this is a consistent build or not.

I actually think I only used 2 Cats but yeah that might work.

Yeah which makes it not even worth bothering.

My friend runs a budget OTT deck. 4 of those 9k grade 3s. It's really sad when he rides and loses power on his vanguard, lol. His best card is probably Maiden of Libra.

Any way I was thinking of making an Angel Feather beatdown deck based on having more damage than the opponent:

I haven't tried this yet, but I have a feeling it's gonna suck. I still really want to try it, though. Thoughts?

Would Grade 0-1 grade decks be good budgetwise if you stack 16 crits? not sure which clans would benefit from it the most but i assume it would be cheap as no G3's or perfect guards etc needed to play.

Yeah 16 crits make Manguard decks good.

Aim: It's Briggitte Beatdown! Just keep checking Grade 3 and triggers and the opponent will be afraid to just guard for 2 to pass. Gancelot not only is a Grade 3, he's also a Grade 2 garaunteed. Gordon's to compensate for Grade 3s.

Would a Granblue Budget Deck with G3 Line-up like this work:

Bizzaroblue just has Monster Frank, Cocytus, Swordmaster and Exceed. At 1 each. That's it.

Will definitely take Vanilla MANGUARD to the next cheap tournament my locals holds. Shit just sounds too delicious.

And it can hit the 18k needed for the Crossride format. Have we found our salvation?!

Lots or restanding and decent columns, mostly coming from DMD + Tough Boy/7k. Mr. Invincible allows for constant use of Counterblasts with his soulcharge. Brakki feeds off of Invincibles constant soul charges, Not sure about Trigger Line up.

Oh god that's nearly my exact first tournament deck lineup. I had 2 Cocytus and 1 Basskirk though instead of Exceed. It was just a throw-together but I stomped everyone. Not by virtue of the deck though. They were all brand new.

A question. Do you guys think Granblue would still be relevant in the following months considering no support has been announced for the clan so far. I mean, how can it go toe to toe with other clans that receives proper support? or even new game mechanics like crossrides? Won't it get left behind too much?

My only answer to that is get creative. Try Basskirk, try Bizarroblue. Try to make something stick.
