Unfortunately, we do not have the exact percentages for the Germany Qualifiers as all clans were pretty evenly used. There were slightly more players using Gold Paladin decks compared to the other clans. | My Thoughts
Goku in second with only 2 Barri's? :O (Most likely money issues considering Goku-Kagero is otherwise budget)
Pale Moon with 8 Draws! I'm guessing fodder for Barking Manticore's skill.
Edit: Oh wait, that is all the triggers they have in the ECG.
Angel Feathers - Awesome. Everything else looks fairly standard.

| Basically we're either looking at people who don't know how to build for vanguard or are not able to afford it. | |

| Half of the decks aren't running 4 PGs... Pale Moon with 3 Mirror Demon but only 1 Alice... Hell, other than the Nova Grappler's and the first place deck, I see flaws in every one of them up there.
EDIT - I don't know enough about Narukami to call it, but the G3's just look... off.

| I'm actually surprised people think a brand new card game will have competent players at the first ever tournament. Does no one even remember the first yugioh nationals? *shudder* | |

That is actually what makes me expect better results - people know they should research a game better early on since a lot of other people won't - giving them an edge.

| Yeah I'm REALLY happy to have some solid data. It's also evidence for my hypothesis of deck popularity wins. | |

| I keep lolling at "rest of clan". And once again GP and NK are hugely popular. >Top 4 Gold Paladin Yep. HALF of them were GP.
I want to see a golds player top ONE tournament where GP isn't a huge chunk of the clans present.

| Canada's qualifiers make me happy - both of the top two decks look near flawless to me in terms of build. No random Devil Summoner's or anything bad in either deck, full set of PG's in each... And above all else it was a DUKE deck that topped. I dislike Duke personally but I cannot say it's not a solid deck, and seeing it top over Ezel makes my day. | |

| Will not be surprised if GP get hit in some way.
After all, the only reason Barcgal was banned as a started was RP popularity, not because the card was "broken".

| Finally someone who is intelligent about that.
I hope GP get hit enough to make people look elsewhere for a while. Right now the competitive scene is fan masturbation and it's just annoying.

| The question comes how do you hit GP in a constructive way that doesn't really hurt the flow of the deck, but drives some people away from it? Very little comes to mind... you can shoot the starter of one build, but that'll just make the other one the way to go... so you need to hit a core card from BOTH of them without crippling the decks... which is really hard to do =\ Unless you just ban both starters... | |

| > Garmore? Since it really shouldn't be in GP anyway because it has very little to do with their aesthetic of restricted, free resource, superior calling.
Most of those Set 7 GP aren't all that great too. Dindrane is spectacular with Garmore, Lop Ear isn't bad at all but Pellinore just seems to be a huge drain on their resorces especially considering both Ezel/Garmore get half that power for pretty much no investment.
Not that BT07 GP had anything to do with current GP.
Also how about we get Barcgal unrestricted so some people would stop bandwagoning on GP?

| Hmmm, but most Duke decks I've seen aren't running Garmore - the issue is there are only a handful of cards that BOTH decks run to be hit. The only one that wouldn't cripple one or the other is Vivianne, but I don't see too many Duke's running her even still.
And unrestricting Barcgal won't undo the damage, people have already invested at least 100$ in Halo Shields alone, let alone the rest of the deck - either between Duke's or Ezel's and Garmore's, they've had to have invested another hundred or so just to get it working.

Royal Paladins would surely start making a consistent showing at Tournament and grab back at least a few of the RP > GP bandwagoners back. I wonder if Spikes have gone up in price at all recently.

| Nice to see Spikes in the game. Sad but not surprised that GB is getting no love but what can you do, eh?
I have half a mind to see if we could all set up some kind of tourny, but that would involve BYOND shenanigans.
